Great Kills Sand Bar on Sunday 25/8/1929
Martin, Evelyn, Cora

I asked Evelyn to send you a smile. I look like the Kaiser's nephew. By the way I'm sending you a smile too. I set the camera with a little time snap and scampered back into focus until she popped.

After dinner spent on our sand bar at Great Kills, Staten Island, New York. Sunday August 18th 1929.

The photo was taken in front of our hut (which I made from driftwood thrown up on the beach). Our hut is made in two sections, Parlour "A" and Parlour "B". The ladies sleep Saturday nights in Parlour "A" and the menfolk in Parlour "B". Reading left to right:- Maurice and his wife Lillian, Cora Cole, Evelyn and Kenneth (one of Evelyn's many boyfriends).  Looks like they are either catching or chasing bugs.

Martin & Cleopatra

This was taken 72  miles south of where we live - a nice sunny place facing the blue Atlantic. We have gone almost 3000 miles in our Chariot since July 1st when we bought her and have had no arguments with her yet. We use her every Saturday and Sunday on sight seeing trips

Taken on our little private sandbar a mile from shore in September 1928

Cora and Evelyn
Evelyn is trying hard to blow a curl off her nose and has succeeded in developing a wonderful squint.
